Colored Pictures with Text

FOREGROUND TEXT BACKGROUND TEXT TEXTURE TEXT

I chose the word "Strong" as my word for this specific picture. The reason I did was at the beginning the picture gave me the feeling of something with a strong foundation and great design. The shape pops out and stands strong in the picture. The edges are sharp and focused like how a successful person would be. Adding the red color game me the same impressions as before, but stronger and more powerful thanks to color red. The red color makes the image pop out more, the edges more noticeable, sharper, focused, and of course, like the word I chose, strong. Red is also a color for aggression, compassion, and many other strong emotions that when used all together would form a very competent image that can be seen as successful, proud, and strong.

Colored Vector Images and their Meanings to Me

ORIGINAL IMAGE This is the original, chosen image for this part of the project. I feel that this image represents solid foundation with a twist of fun. It represents a solid design, a look of success, as well as something more relaxed, playful, and enjoyable.

COLORED IMAGE #1 The red colored version of the original image I feel still represents that solid foundation of success, as well as playfulness, but now with a color that represents passion and aggression. These two emotions together can lead to success and a solid look of accomplishment. A very strong color.

COLORED IMAGE #2 The blue colored version of the image retains that same solid look and feel, but now in a more calm, composed way. A calm and composed way of life can also lead to success in life. A very mature color.

COLORED IMAGE #3 This grayish, version of the original image is what I feel to be the opposite of the original, red, and blue images. The color takes away the solid edges of the image and makes them blurry, out of focus, and floaty. The color is very drab compared to the solid colors of black, red, and blue as those colors really pop out. This one just fades into space. The image with this color more represents being lost, floaty thoughts, a weak foundation, and an uncompelled feel to succeed and/or be noticed. A very negative, meh color.

Invert, Combined, and Combine/Textured Images, Critiques

INVERTED
COMBINED COMBINED WITH TEXTURE br /> The image above (combined texture) has a couple of elements of visual organization.  It has Overlapping, Hierarchy, Proximity, Similarity, and Repetition.

CRITIQUED IMAGE

The comparison of the image above that I made was very similar to the comparison that my classmates made of it.  The only element I missed was Positive-Negative Relationship (Yin-Yang).
